Vindication

img_0864

Here’s a poem I wrote about the need for revenge to experiment with composing a poem in a double etheree form; it really seems like a great way to present one aspect of a situation within the ascending portion, and then present the other reality on the descending side.

Ah,
youthful
displays of
untempered lust;
yet not of the flesh.
Seeking vindication
for every slight against me,
perpetrated by friend and foe
mutual affections matter not.
Revenge demands that I reciprocate
satisfying my darkest urges,
climaxing to pure ecstasy.
Yet addiction takes a toll.
Malice, insidious,
spreads from limb to limb,
leaving only
abjection
in its
wake.
